Food for the Soul,
Meaning for Life,
Belonging for the Spirit,
Acceptance in the Family!

Have you ever wondered if you are accepted?

Am I appreciated? Does anyone care? Why am I here? What is the meaning of my life?

How can I make a difference? Do I really belong... anywhere? Does anyone really love me? If so, why do I feel so empty and alone? Even when I act like I’m having the time of my life, deep down inside, I feel empty and I know I’m missing something.

How did I guess that you have these questions? Because these are soul questions. They are familiar to each of us because we all have souls. And our soul needs answers just like our body needs food. But the culture around us, as high tech and full of information as it is, so often leaves our souls and spirits hungry, malnourished and confused.

Welcome to “Food for the Soul” blog. Here we hope, in the context of The Family of God, to offer suggestions of answers to these questions. Hopefully the down-to-earth, real-life stories, meditations, and inspirations we share can feed your soul, aid your search for wisdom, and give you a nudge upward in your spiritual journey.

And just maybe you’ll even find belonging, acceptance and meaning to satisfy the deep soul-longings of which we all are familiar.

If so, give God the glory. It’s truly all about Him!

"Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: but in every nation he that feareth Him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with Him." ~ Apostle Peter ~ Acts 10:34-35

Is "The Family of God" a concept from the Bible?

Yes! Here is what one early follower of Jesus says about it.

"For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Of whom the Whole Family in heaven and earth is named,

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory,

To be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye,

Being rooted and grounded in love,

May be able to comprehend with all saints, what is,

The breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,

That ye might be filled with all the fulness of God!"

~ Apostle Paul ~  circa AD 60 ~ Ephesians 3:14-19

These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, "Father... Sanctify them (my followers) through thy Truth: thy Word is Truth." ~ excerpted from John 17:1,17
